Small Moments

If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly our whole life would change.

In the Australian Summer and Autumn of 2020 following a serious health event, I spent many hours sitting on my veranda. Beside the veranda grows this rose. Day after day I watched buds form, petals slowly unfurl, the centre stunning gold and crimson emerge. On display: nature’s mysterious rhythm, the cycle of life lay bare. Small moments of awe; the experience strangely comforting.
